Dick pictures. Ah, the gift that keeps on giving.

And a subject I’ve written about many times on the blog before. Why? Well, mainly because I’ll never tire of talking about willies, but also because, despite myself, and the majority for the female population, hammering home the fact they aren’t, less very odd occasions, all that sexy – men continue to insist on filling our inbox with dick.

So, the question presents itself, why do men send dick pictures?

1. Low risk showing off

No, not every man who sends a dick picture harbours a secret desire to stand in a public park, wearing a raincoat ready to flash his gonads at unsuspecting passers by, but there is an element of kink to sending a dick picture for many men.

So, rather than doing it solely for the benefit of the receiver (how kind) just the art of ‘exposing’ themselves with or without permission can be a turn on.

It’s not always even about sex as an end game, just the turn on of thinking someone may be aroused by the image.

Whoever said romance was dead.

2. It’s digital foreplay

And let’s face it, not everyone you meet is looking to get married. Some people just want a bonk and skipping the pleasantries and getting down to the nitty gritty is a basic (but honest) way of getting to the point.

If a man is online and sends you a picture of his cock, you know where you stand, at the very least.

3. Me Tarzan

Yep, next up, the good old-fashioned male ego. A man with a decent looking cock will want to show it off , and the desire to convey his virility translates as an image of his erect penis on your iPhone.

4. They think it’s sexy

Hard as it maybe to believe, when it comes to sex, men shut down all other channels of common sense, everyday intellect and rationale.
And when it comes to the potential of getting it, will often pull out all the stops.

The majority of heterosexual men would love *nothing* more than a picture of your fanny on their phone, and consequently, struggle to imagine why you wouldn’t want the same.

Women crave a bit of backstory, build up and context.

Men want to insert their penis into your vagina.

The end.

5. Control

Sending a stranger a picture of your penis without permission can be seen as harassment (which, for offended women, is why the invented the bloke button) however it is also a way of guaranteeing a reaction.
Catching the receiver off guard and instilling a form of control over a situation – regardless of whether the feedback is positive or negative can make some men feel powerful.

Which is a) a bit creepy and b) makes you a bit of a loser.

You’re welcome.

6. Because it’s mutual and quite sexy

The good news, however, is that on the odd occasion, a dick in your inbox can sometimes be quite a turn on, when the sexual banter is mutual and you’re both enjoying a bit of digital build up.

I’ll be the first to admit that a bit of cockage on a Monday morning (from someone you’re into) beats an automated text reminding you about renewing your car insurance.

The key to success? Don’t rush it, see that it’s mutual and for Christ’s sake, make sure the backdrops not a public loo.
